Lighting - Test Shots




I booked out the studio to test how I was going to make the shots in the music video have a neon effect, for this I used the lights and put colored film over them and this is the effect they made. I intend to use this in the music video. 


 This shows how we got the neon light effect.

Genre Research

By researching into different genres it allowed me to understand the concept of genre and the forms and conventions of each one. Each genre has different forms and conventions which makes it recgnoisible to be that certain genre. From this research I intend to use the genre pop for my music video as this is the genre I listen too and I feel like this is the genre id be able to represent and make the video look profesional and realistic.

Researching Student Music Video

By researching into other students music videos it has given me ideas for my music video. I have learnt that we need a variety of camera work to keep the audience entertained, the camera work could vary from mid shots, long shots and close up to ensure the music video isn't boring. I know that the pace of the song needs to match with the visuals so it doesn't cause confusion to the audience. In the video when the beat speeds up the editing pace also needs to speed up this builds up tension and ensures the audience keep watching which is what I intend to do in my music video to keep my audience watching for the full time.
