Inspirational Text - Arianna Grande Dangerous Woman

I took some time to look at different music videos and I was inspired by the lighting in this music video, which I intend to do in my music video with the main person.

Inspirational Text - Glow sticks

As we have this constant theme of neon lights when I was doing research on where to bu them I came across this video which I really liked and perhaps we could use in our music video.

First Shoot - Behind the scenes

Test shot reflection

From the test shots we have learnt that in order for the footage in this scene to look professional and like a realistic music video we need to ensure that the camera is on a tripod and doesn't move throughout each shot so that the framing is the same in each video. Another thing about the test shots were the back drop was quite mucky so next time we will need to use a different bit of the roll that hasn't been used so its clean and the video will then look professional with the plain background. Also, we have learnt that the costume we used such as the shoes, that there wasn't much variety between them and they looked quite similar so when we shoot the real intro we are going to use different shoes that don't look similar. In the test footage we made the mistake of doing the foot routines to the rhythm of the song we took inspiration from rather than the song we were doing the music video too meaning it was to the wrong beat so we will make sure we do...

Test Footage - Intro

The framing in this shot is the one I like best as the floor looks very black rather than mucky making it look more professional and the feet are very close to the camera which I think gives the best effect. The amount of negative space in the framing is just right and makes the shoes stand out.  In these shots we were looking at the framing and how we should position the shoes in order for them to look effective. Another thing we were testing is what routines we should do with the feet as it needs to look professional and like a realistic music video. On this test shot we then introduced the coloured lights, which had quite a good effect however it isnt as bold as we expected. We used a range of different shoes as in the video we took inspiration from this is what they done, I think this add variety to the intro and intrigues the audience to keep on watching.

Lighting - Test Shots

I booked out the studio to test how I was going to make the shots in the music video have a neon effect, for this I used the lights and put colored film over them and this is the effect they made. I intend to use this in the music video.  This shows how we got the neon light effect.
